UFOMEK IMAGES
These are some of the photographs and drawings sent to UFOMEK over the last few years.
St. Margarets - Dover - 1954
This picture is the remaining one of two, that were sent to the Daily Mail back in 1954, soon after the pictures were taken. The other apparently showed a definite disc shaped craft overhead. These were never returned to the owner, and the 'Mail' denied any knowledge of the photo's.
luckily, the photographers widow kept the negatives, but could only find this particular image.
The pictures were taken by a serviceman on leave, who happened to be out walking with his wife along the cliffs at St. Margarets' near Dover, Kent.
Gravesend - 17th July, 1998
These photographs are from Gravesend in Kent, and are stills taken from video footage that has undergone evaluation. Filmed on the 17th July 1998, it shows what appears to be a typical 'Flying Saucer' shaped craft. However, a little further into the 2minutes and 30 seconds of footage, it seems to reveal a triangular form.
One other person reported the 'craft' but refused to leave his name with the local Police.
A section of the footage may be downloaded from the 'UFO Scotland' site, under 'The Worlds Best UFO Video Footage' at

Canterbury - Maidstone 2/4/99
These drawings were made by three witnesses who were travelling in the same car after a day out on the Isle of Thanet, Kent.
As they travelled west, along the Thanet way and onto the M2 motorway, they noticed that the lorry in front of them was swerving from side to side, sometimes actually almost driving completely on the hard shoulder. Not wanting to become involved in a potential accident, Mark accelerated and overtook the lorry. As they passed it, Valerie, Marks' wife (who was in the front passenger seat), noticed a white/ silvery object out of her window (South), towards the Canterbury area. At first, she thought that it was a low cloud formation, but dismissed this theory when the object came closer and seemed to be spiralling, almost like a vortex. Valerie shouted at Mark to look at the object, but because of his position in the car, and the fact that he was driving, he was unable to see it.
Valerie shouted to her sister Pauline, who had fallen asleep in the back of the car, directly behind Valerie. Valerie looked out to the spot where her sister was pointing, and she and her husband Richard (who had to lean across Pauline in order to see the object), both stared in disbelief at the spectacle before them. Pauline describes the object as looking '....a bit like a Jelly-fish shape' and had 6 or 7 dull white lights just beneath the domed surface. It was, she says, 'almost transparent'. The lights were clearly visible right through to the other side of the object (see my impression of the object - left).
The object crossed the road at about 20 feet above the car, and then came back again to it's original position. Mark had still not seen the 'Jelly-fish' at this point, and wanted to pull over to get a good view. Valerie was adamant that there was absolutely no way that Mark was going to stop the car, she was much too scared to allow that, as was Pauline.
The scary thing was, said Valerie, it seemed to be 'following' them, keeping pace with the car. Pauline and Richard confirmed this, as they had the same impression. At one point, the object came to within 25 to 30 feet of the car, maintaining its altitude of around 20 feet, and was seen to be disturbing the ground area around it. This was evident due to the small amount of debris being thrown around the object as it travelled along. Richard gave an approximate size of the now seemingly fluorescent silver/ grey Jellyfish, as around 50 or 60 feet across!
It made no noise, and the lights on its underneath remained constantly in the same position throughout the encounter.
The object seemed to fade at times, and then became visible as it travelled parallel with the car. It remained mostly just above tree level, about 25 - 30 feet, and then, when the witnesses reached Junction 3 at Bluebell Hill, the object promptly vanished.
The three main witnesses, Valerie, Pauline, and Richard, were asked by me to make sketches of the object. All were very similar. See below.
When the witnesses eventually arrived back at home, they rang the police station at Sittingbourne to report the sighting. PC Dave Wisdom, Press Liaison Officer, contacted the local press and Radio regarding the sighting, to try and get to the bottom of the mystery. Lights were seen over the Bluebell Hill area that night, and were attributed to a laser light show advertising a local pub.
It has been confirmed that there were no flights taking off from any Kent airfield around the times given, as they close as soon as it is dark.
Amazingly, there was other traffic on the road at the time, and yet no one but these witnesses reported anything unusual that night.
